1. Once upon a time, there was a park in a lovely place. (upon)

从前，在一个可爱的地方有着一个公园。

2. People who lived nearby would often go for a walk there. (for)

住在附近的人们经常都会去那里散步。

3. In the park, there was a small pond. (in)

在公园里面，有一个小池塘。

4. Tommy, a little fish, was living in the pond by himself. (by)

汤米，一条小鱼儿，独自住在池塘里。

5. Everyday Tommy would swim to the surface of the pond. (to)

汤米每天都会游到水面。

6. He loved to look at the blue sky from the water, (from)

他很喜欢从水里看向那蔚蓝的天空，

7. and wonder about how the wind and the sun would feel out there. (about)

怀疑着在外面的太阳和风会是什么感觉。

8. One day, he came up with an idea. (up)

一天，他想到了一个主意。

9. If I pratice jumping, I can possibly get out of the water and feel the sun and the wind myself. (of)

“要是我练习跳跃，或者就可以离开水底，去亲自感受那阳光和风。”

10. So Tommy started praticing, each day jumping a little bit higher than the day before. (than)

于是汤米开始练习，每一天都比前一天跳得更高。

11. Finally one day, he managed to jump through the water, (through)

终于有一天，他成功地穿过了水面，

12. and landed on the soft grass beside the pond, (beside)

而落到了池塘边的草地上，

13. lying under the sun, feeling the wind. (under)

躺在阳光和微风之下。

14. He felt great, but only for a very short time. (but)

他觉得棒极了，可是那感觉只维持了一段很短的时间。

15. Because then he remembered - he can't breath above water! (above)

因为他跟着就想起 - 他不能在水面上呼吸！

16. Luckily, a girl nearby saw Tommy. (nearby)

幸运地，一个在附近的女孩看到了汤米。

17. She ran towards him, (towards)

她向汤米跑过去，

18. picked him up and put him back into the pond. (into)

将他捡起并放回池塘里。

19. Tommy looked at the girl, and thanked her silently. (at)

汤米看着女孩，并沉默地感谢她。

20. Then he swam back to his home below the water surface. (below)

然后，他游回那个在水面之下的家。
